Northwest for the past three years. He got his start as a performer by playing guitar late into the night for friends gathered around summer evening bonfires. They not only enjoyed his light-hearted personal style, but recognized that he had something meaningful to say with his lyrics as well. Their enjoyment led to further requests to play, and soon he was on his way as a performer. At twenty-two Joachim may seem a musical youngster, but don't be fooled. Since childhood he studied the guitar and mastered
Chet Atkins' picking style as taught by his father, a skilled musician in his own right, who toured Sweden and Norway with his Swedish dance band a generation ago. Joachim's grandfather was a well-known Swedish banjo player, and his great grandfather was a respected violin composer in Sweden. Together the family represents over a century of contemporary music with Joachim as its present light and bright future.
